Today I met with Dr. Loh and her team of Palliative care physicians in UMMC, 11 th floor.
It's quite interesting to know how doctors are not only giving medical treatment to their patients but in the case of palliative care, the doctors in this ward are also playing the role as counselors.  This is a sad scenario in our country.  We have great physical infrastructure but we lack of insight of the importance of psychological support even though we know there is a need to help our patients to handle death and dying in a more dignified way.
